Autor Der Nachfolger von Counter-Strike: Source aus dem Jahre 2004 steht seit dem 21. August auf der Steam-Plattform für den PC und Mac zum Kauf bereit und kann von nun ab herunter geladen werden. Die Konsolen-Besitzer müssen dagegen noch etwas warten.
Der eigentlich als „Counter-Strike:-Source“-Portierung für die Microsoft Xbox 360 gedachte dritte Teil bietet derzeit 45 Waffen und Gegenstände, neue Maps, neue Charaktere, neue Spieler-Modi wie den „Arsenal Mode“, verbesserte Grafik, Leaderboards sowie über 165 Steam-Achievements an. An einem überarbeitetem Interface und neuen Sounds hat der Entwickler Hidden Path Entertainment sowie Publisher Valve ebenso nicht gespart.
Die Besitzer einer PlayStation 3 oder Xbox 360 müssen sich noch etwas gedulden, wobei die Verkaufsversion bereits heute erscheinen soll. Einen Grund für die Verschiebung nannte Valve nicht. Ob neue Inhalte über Updates oder DLC nachgeliefert werden ist bislang nicht bekannt, jedoch wäre dies nicht unüblich. Sicher ist allerdings, dass in Deutschland nur die ungeschnittene Version erhältlich sein wird.
Die Rabattaktion für Vorbesteller wurde beendet und somit liegt der aktuelle Preis von Counter-Strike: Global Offensive bei 13,99 Euro. Das „Counter-Strike Complete“-Paket mit „GO“, „Counter-Strike“, „Counter-Strike: Source“ und „Counter-Strike: Condition Zero“ wechselt derzeit für 29,99 Euro den Besitzer.

Keine Kommentare » Am 7. August 2012 ist der Vorverkauf von Counter-Strike: Global Offensive gestartet und ist zum SONDERANGEBOT (Rabattaktion) für 12,59 Euro erhältlich. Aktionsende ist der 21. August. Mit dem Vorverkauf erhält man zusätzlich einen Beta Zugang welcher am 14. August freigeschaltet wird. Offizieller Spiele Start ist der 21. August.

Vor den 14. August will Valve Counter-Strike: Global Offensive noch mal ordentlich Updaten. Dieses Update umfasst nahezu das ganze Spiel. Anders als bei der Call of Duty oder Battlefield Serie will man gleich ein Fertiges Spiel bereitstellen. Da können sich andere Spieleschmieden echt mal mehr als eine Scheibe abschneiden. Hinzu kommt, in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive verbergen sich Später keinerlei bezahl DLC’s.

“THE ROCK” Map Pack, Coming Soon!
THQ is pleased to announce that “THE ROCK” Map Pack will soon be available for Homefront® Multiplayer, first on the Microsoft® Xbox 360!
Fall in soldier! Command has issued orders to capture two all new Homefront® Multiplayer maps – Alcatraz and Bridge, as well as new areas to dominate the enemy in Team Deathmatch.
We’re going to take back San Francisco, one piece at a time:
- Alcatraz – America’s most infamous prison becomes the site of fierce close-quarters fighting.
- Bridge – A combined arms effort to secure the North Tower of the Golden Gate Bridge and surrounding area, large-scale warfare at its best!

A Homefront® update is now available for download on the PlayStation Network. This update should improve Homefront®’s overall game stability and network connectivity on the PlayStation 3, a summary of a number of the changes can be found below.
Ability Pack:
- Ice Cold: Invisible on thermal views and airstrike sensors
- Situational Awareness: Enemy name appears when shot
- EMP Tactician: Deal more damage vs EMP’d vehicles
- Short Fuse: Reduced cook time on frag grenades
- Bomb Suit: Take less damage from explosives
Improvements to:
- Crashes
- Rank Resets
- Online stability
- Rendering optimizations & improvements
- Online connectivity
